As the inventors and pioneers of surface treatment technology we are aware of our obligations to the global market and have taken our commitment to a new level with the opening of a high-tech test lab facility at our headquarters in Kolding.
The test lab, which is run by our well-trained technical staff, offers a state-of-the-art facility for the printing, converting, laminating and extruding sectors of industry that need to have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of surface treatment to maximise their own commercial productivity.
In today’s ultracompetitive consumer marketplace, where manufacturers need to balance cost effectiveness with ecological considerations, the drive to develop and use new materials, inks, lacquers and converting techniques has thrown the already complex subject of surface treatment into ever sharper focus across a broad range of industrial sectors from printed packaging to electronics
Drawing on our unrivalled knowledge of surface treatment we have created an environment that closely simulates commercial production. Substrates can be tested in sheets or on the roll, using either corona or plasma technology as appropriate, and results are analysed and returned to you immediately.
The benefits of using the test lab is that highly accurate testing can be carried out prior to committing to full scale commercial production, with the obvious reduction in both risk and cost.
By working closely in partnership with product and technology manufacturers, we can assist their R&D departments to develop new technology in response to changes in market demand. As substrates and processes become more complex, it is vital to develop solutions that offer maximum productivity with minimum cost and low energy consumption.

Test Lab capabilities
Our unique set-up allows us to test with both Corona and Plasma surface treatment. We can test rolls of film, foam, fabrics, metallised foil and paper up to 1300 mm wide and up to 3 mm thick, at a line speed of up to 200 m/min
